Welcome to South Side Street Cars of Grand Rapids Michigan

Welcome to our website! This is were we spend some time mainly talking to one another about whatever it is suits us at the time. We are a group of car lovers that live in the Greater Grand Rapids area. We have a few members from out of state as well. If you would like to get connected to a group of fun, mostly laid back, car loving people, please take the time to REGISTER, and check out what we have to offer. Feel free to start a new post, contribute to an existing one, or just lurk around for a bit.

Most of us have known each other for a long time so don't be scared away by some of the conversations. [lol] We all know what we mean for the most part and it is meant in fun most of the time. I mean we are car people so the occasional bench racing and so on does occur. ;D

Seems to me the only really worthwhile and cost effective upgrade is a SCT tuner.  Unless your gonna build up the motor or switch it to a carb setup.

Off the line the car is pretty ho hum...  After about 60 or so mph it really pulls..  impressively after around 80mph for what it is..  You can pass 120mph and it doesn't feel like your even stressing the motor... lol..

I'll find the website of a guy that deals with the tuner stuff. I have his on mine, and so do about 90% of the Vic owners. Marty Ochs. You get the SCT tuner and his "tunes" pre loaded for what you have.

T&D rockers arrived, so did the Holley throttle body.
I'm about done ordering parts for a while, waiting on the car from Jimmer so I can wire all the fun goodies.
Dropping off intake to VED today for injector bungs to be installed.

But usually about $1 to $1.10 cheaper than premium.

There is an old Crown Vic for sale on 8th ave just north of M6 ; looks rough but would make a good parts car? I might stop and check it out if I ever go back to work.  [lol]

Removing the dash from Gayle's Z.  Not happy with the way it fits.  Making adjustments.

figured out my battery issue with the blue car. Also hot wired the convertible top safety switch as it went bad and I'm not going to pay GM $90 for it. Cruised to Grand Haven yesterday and to work today zero issues.
Shoboxx has an issue, filled it with gas and it only holds 12 gallons, seems strange its that low, then drove a couple blocks and it started running very rough and you could smell raw fuel so that'll be next to figure out.

E-85 update.  Runs really good! was having a random miss sensation when driving it. Thats totally gone. Lost about 4 mpg on this fill up. Gonna try another and see how it goes. If the loss stays reasonable, I think the benefits far out weigh the mileage loss so far.
